Trent Magnano was born and raised in Campbell, California; a small town in the heart of the Silicon Valley. Influenced by the world renowned stylist, Robert Cromeans, Magnano began taking on people’s hair at the tender age of fifteen, enticing potential “clients” with his innate abilities and his unparalleled passion. Magnano received his professional license at eighteen from San Jose City Cosmetology School and landed his first job as a licensed stylist at Five Color Cowboy, a popular salon in San Jose.
It was at Five Color Cowboy, where he trained under stylists Jasmine Lazzarino and Johnny Granada, that Magnano honed his skills and discovered his own niche within the realm of styling. Five Color Cowboy led to Big Jim’s Barber Shop, and by twenty-one, he decided that the next step for his career would be to move to Los Angeles. Immediately Magnano landed a coveted spot working in celebrity stylist Chris McMillan’s salon in Beverly Hills; however it wasn’t long before he yearned for the camaraderie of the barber shop.
